New Market in Llandysul
During 2008 Newcastle Emlyn Country Market piloted a satellite market in Llandysul which proved to be a viable and popular enterprise. We also attended two local outside events namely the Food Fair held in June, at which we won the Best Stall Trophy, and the Christmas Fair. We now feel that the time is right for this market to become an independent and regular market providing local produce for local people.
We are therefore holding a public meeting on Monday, 16 March in the Tysul Youth Centre, Llandysul commencing at 10am. Anyone interested in producing for this market, or has any skills to help with the development of the future of Llandysul Country Market, is welcome to come along. A number of existing producers will be on hand to answer your questions and our Ceredigion Country Markets Adviser will also be there to advise on the setting up of this new market. Tea and coffee will be served after the discussion.
